Frank Chmiel
Advisory Team Chair
“Make the world a better place one student at a time.”
Frank Chmiel is an experienced educator. He is known for his strong relational skills, team building, and bringing out the best in people. Whenever people are around him, they grow. Frank is a lifelong learner, a great student, a skillful teacher, and an inspirational and collaborative leader. His goal is to make the world a better place one student at a time. Some of his accomplishments include: 1993 1st Team All-State Football Player (New Jersey Star Ledger), 2003 Governor's Teacher of the Year (Mongtomery High School, NJ), 2008 Outstanding Educator Award presented by The College of New Jersey, and nominee for the 2009 Distinguished Secondary School Educator Award presented by Princeton University. From 2004 - 2006, his AP Art History students were recognized at the #1 large high school in the world for their performance on the AP exam (AP Report to the Nation). As an administrator, Frank helped lead Franklin High School up over 80 places in the New Jersey rankings in six years (New Jersey Monthly). As principal of Princeton High School, PHS was ranked by Niche among New Jersey's best high schools, #12. Of particular note, it was the first non-charter, non-magnet NJ high school on the list. What Frank cares most about, though, is people. He wants everyone to learn and grow, and for any person or organization with which he works, to be the best they can be.
